The selection panel for the Azimio la Umoja – One Kenya Coalition’s running mate will begin interviews on Wednesday.
Secretary Elizabeth Meyo of the panel said the group hopes to finish the assignment by May 10, when it will offer a suitable name to the coalition’s presidential contender, who will then make it public.
She stated that the contenders for the position will meet with the panel on different dates this week.
The team, which was created following meetings with the Coalition Party Council, chaired by President Uhuru Kenyatta, also stated that they are looking for people who have exhibited public leadership and service, among other qualifications.
Accountability to the public for decisions, discipline, actions, and commitment in service to the people are among the panel’s other criteria.
