Data from the Health Ministry shows that Kenya is currently having an all-time low Covid-19 burden with some counties not reporting even a single case.
Daily reports over the past fortnight show less than 100 new infections being recorded every day and deaths falling to even zero on some days.
So far, infections have hit 253,409, with 5,282 deaths.
Over the past month, however, daily reports have shown slow rates of infections and deaths, with several hospitals reporting zero or a few hospital admissions.
Also, in some counties there were no known active Covid-19 cases, with some isolation wards having no patients.
In some instances, only home-based care cases were reported.
