In Kariobangi, Nairobi County, a robbery suspect narrowly avoided being killed as his mother begged for his life shortly before he was about to be lynched.
The same mob also lynched another suspect during the incident on Sunday, so he was not as fortunate.
The suspect’s body was delivered to the City Mortuary in Nairobi, where it was identified as an adult male.
In a separate incident, a man carrying a knife was apprehended on Saturday night while walking along the bustling Outering Road.
The police said that Mr. Dickson Gatonga Njeri, the suspect, was apprehended by officers on patrol after they received information about certain suspicious movements the suspect was allegedly making.
