Dr. Maxwell Okoth, the chief operating officer of Ruai Family Hospital, has declared that he will no longer be involved in the day-to-day management of the facility but will continue to serve on the hospital’s board.
He started the hospital out of a one-bedroom flat, when he was a post-graduate student in 2011.
With services ranging from primary outpatient to highly-specialized and critical care treatments, it was eventually called Ruai Family Hospital before being upgraded to RFH Healthcare.
“I will therefore be handing over the day-to-day operations of this institution to a team of very able management,” he said.
“I will continue to undertake my duties as CEO as we handle this transition over the next couple of weeks. The board will be announcing the new CEO very soon.”
RFH Healthcare serves at least 100,000 patients per annum–ranging from premium clients to those who rely only on the National Hospital Insurance Fund.
