President William Ruto has hosted a gathering of Jubilee Party members.

The action is viewed as a component of the President’s plan to oppose opposition leader Raila Odinga, who is organizing a large rally in Nairobi on Monday.

Kenya Kwanza lawmakers encouraged President Ruto to contact the Jubilee group inside the Azimio coalition on Sunday in an effort to deflect the opposition’s onslaught.

Those present include EALA MP Kanini Kega, Nominated MP Sabina Chege, Irene Njoki (Bahati), Zachary Kwenya Thuku ( Kinangop), Shadrach Mwiti ( Douth Imenti), Mark Mwenje ( Embakasi West), Amos Mwago ( Starehe), Dan Karitho ( Igembe Central), Stanley Muthama ( Lamu West) and Joseph Githuku (Lamu Senator).

Gachagua on Friday met the same leaders in his office where he said the Kenya Kwanza government will work with all regardless of political affiliation.

After the meeting, Kanini Kega said that politics should not be kept at heart.”Siasa usiweke kwa roho (Don’t keep politics in your heart) Riggy G the Deputy President hosted us today and we had a good day discussing development issues,” he said.
