On Sunday, July 31, Azimio Deputy Presidential candidate Martha Karua responded to Deputy President William Ruto’s assertions that his children were in danger because to his political stances.
Karua asserted that Ruto had more than 276 bodyguards, which were more than adequate to defend him and his family, while speaking at a rally in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County.
She also criticized the UDA presidential candidate of inciting fear throughout the nation by making erroneous claims about plots against him and his family.
“I know the Deputy President has more than 276 bodyguards, I pray that I will get that office next week, and if you feel any of your family members are in danger, assign one of your many guards to protect them.”
“If they are still not enough ask for more security because you are still the Deputy President, don’t create tension in the country by lying that your family is in danger,” the Narc Kenya boss stated.
Prior to the August elections, the vice presidential candidate for Azimio urged all politicians to exercise caution in their public remarks to prevent inciting unrest that could erupt into violence.
Ruto had urged President Uhuru on Friday to resolve their political differences amicably rather than endanger his children.
