Renowned Kenyan comedian Daniel Ndambuki popularly known as Churchill raised Ksh.400,000 for the medical appeal of fellow comedian Akuku Danger within a few minutes.
Churchill dedicated his New Year’s Eve show at Garden City mall to comedian Akuku danger who is currently admitted at Nairobi West hospital ICU, after suffering lung failure.
“Today we want to dedicate this show to Ukuku Danger…I want you right now to help with the little you can, let’s share the pay bill number here…whatever you have just get off your phone, anything…just send anything you have,” said Churchill.
Within minutes, Kenyans contributed more than Ksh.400,000.
Fellow Comedian and friend Sandra Dacha took to social media to show appreciation for the efforts made by ‘Churchill’ Ndambuki.
“But this man @mwalimchurchill Churchill show managed to raise 400K yesterday for @itsakukudanger in a span of 3mins What more can I say jameni… Wametusaidia tukafika Mia NNE in that short time who is God, THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!” she posted on Instagram.
Last week, family and friends of comedian Akuku Danger had posted medical help appeals on social media.
“We are seeking financial support for our brother who is admitted at Nairobi West hospital ICU due to (Lung failure). He is currently undergoing dialysis, with the several medical procedures involved, we are at a burden of an increasing hospital bill.”
