See what killed businessman Francis Kiambi

By Wanja Waweru

Francis Kiambi, the deceased businessman who was discovered dead at his house in Karen, Nairobi, on January 9th, died from heart attack.

This was made public on Friday after Chief Government Pathologist Johansen Oduor performed a post-mortem on his body.

According to Dr. Oduor, the deceased’s high cholesterol levels contributed to coronary artery disease, which in turn caused the cardiac arrest.

According to a police report, Mr. Kiambi’s wife Mary Waigwe Muthoni reported his death.

She said that they had spent some time at an entertainment venue in Karen before returning home with her husband at approximately midnight on Sunday.

After the wife allegedly refused to guarantee the husband to obtain a Ksh. 2 billion loan he was seeking to launch a business, the pair reportedly got into a fight at home.

After their argument, the two apparently went to separate bedrooms to sleep, but the 50-year-old politician-turned-businessman was later discovered dead with vomit by his bedside.

Following the death’s confirmation by a family physician from the neighboring Karen Hospital, the deceased’s body was transported to the Lee Funeral home.

Several people including a close relative and a lawyer who were together with the deceased at the entertainment joint have since been interrogated by police over the death.

Attendants at Big Smoke Bar and Restaurant where the businessman and his wife spent time prior to his death were also grilled by detectives.
