An unexpected shock awaited a family in Tuiyotich, Nakuru County, when they discovered their milking cow had been murdered and her tail and private parts removed.
Farmer Dennis Kiprotich claimed that the cow had just given birth less than a month prior and that he was baffled by the perpetrators’ motivation.
He said: “I don’t understand why someone would do that, so this must be a matter of rituals.”
The family has 20 cows.
Mr. Kiprotich said he had milked the cow the previous evening, only to wake up in the morning and find that the cow had been mutilated.
He said: “We had to slaughter the cow and bury it.”
