Mary Wanjiru Kamuyu, the sister of the late Fridah Warau Kamuyu, has urged well-wishers to assist her in getting back to Kenya from Saudi Arabia so that she can pay her respects to her deceased family.

Fridah Warau Kamuyu and a male acquaintance drowned in a dam in Juja, Kiambu County, last week.

In a phone conversation with Simon Kibe of Inooro TV, Wanjiru said she lacked the money to pay for the flight from Riyadh to Nairobi, even though her sister’s funeral is scheduled for next Wednesday.

“I am currently in Saudi Arabia and would like to be assisted in travelling back home so that I can give my sister a proper send-off,” said Wanjiru, the firstborn in a family of five.

Wanjiru also lamented that owing to her current geographical position, she’s been forced to mourn and grieve Fridah’s death all alone.

“For us, as family members, we are in great pain. I am all alone here and I have no one to comfort me or talk to,” she said.

An autopsy conducted on the body of Kamuyu on Thursday revealed that she died due to drowning.

Kamuyu died alongside Titus Kiiru, a 39-year-old Kiambu businessman.
