A man was on Sunday night murdered by his lover’s teenage sons following a disagreement in Kiambere, Embu county.
Kiambere location chief Solomon Mbugi reported that the dispute arose after the man insisted on spending the night in the woman’s house in Kiritiri, Embu, a demand which did not go down well with the woman’s sons. Mbugi said the body of the man, identified as Peter Mwangi Njeru, was found in the woman’s compound at Ithemberu village.
It was later alleged that Njeru, 45, had gone to visit his lover Euphraith Wangare, 50, a single mother, on Sunday at around 9.30pm.
Upon arrival, the man disagreed with the woman’s sons who insisted that he should not sleep in their house because he was not their father.
“The man refused to leave and a fight ensued. He was attacked by the boys using firewood that was next to the house,” police said.
He was found lying dead on Monday morning within the homestead with several cut wounds on the head and bruises on the body.
One of Wangare’s sons was later arrested as police launched investigations into the incident.
