A youthful entrepreneur from Mweiga, Nyeri county, has died hours after predicting his death on Facebook.
The deceased was known for his strawberry farming and beekeeping expertise.
Tony Weru was on Tuesday, March 30, at around 10am, rushed to Nyeri Provincial General Hospital after developing breathing problems and was put on oxygen.
On the evening of the same day, he took to the Digital Farmers Facebook group, saying he had tested positive for COVID-19 but didn’t know where he contracted it.
“COVID-19 is real, if I die, I don’t know where I contracted it,” he posted.
Moments later, he also posted in the same group bidding goodbye to the users. “I’m leaving you through COVID-19,” he said, sharing a photo of himself wearing a face mask with a seemingly sweaty face.
