A dangerous gang that attacked two Israeli tourists brutally and left one of them with a severed finger is being sought by Kilifi County authorities.
The event took place on Saturday, September 2, 2023, when a group assaulted the victims while brandishing machetes and knives.
The attackers hurt the tourists physically and stole their money and possessions.
“The two, who are tourists in the country, were taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. Doctors were trying to reattach the severed finger,” reported The Times of Israel.
The duo then went ahead and reported the matter to the Israel Embassy in Kenya.
The embassy promptly released a statement detailing the tragedy and helped the tourists’ families, ensuring that they arrived in Kenya as soon as possible to assess the situation and provide support.
In another ongoing case, Mr. Antonio Changes Barbosa’s family continues to fight for justice after his alleged murder in Mwihoko, Ruiru Sub-County, Kiambu, in July 2023.
According to reports, Barbosa’s burned body was discovered inside a burned-out car with the license plate KBY 305D close to Mwihoko Police Station.
“Officers are trying to find out whether she was killed elsewhere before her body was burnt in Mwihoko,” said the officer, who spoke in confidence as he is not authorised to address the media.
The DCI is actively pursuing leads to determine the exact circumstances surrounding his death.
