The couple revealed that surrogacy will be used to deliver child number two. Shamea shared two images of her and Gerald standing with an ultrasound image and a banner that stated “Baby Mwangi due 2023” on Instagram on Wednesday, November 16.
“We’re having a baby via surrogacy!” Shamea captioned the post. “It’s been such a long journey! 7 rounds of IVF, failed transfers…etc. I wanted to carry but God had other plans. He always knows best! I’m so grateful. I’m having a baby!”
The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Shya Nyambura Mwangi in November 2018. Upon announcing her birth on Instagram, Shamea wrote, “I’m officially a MOM! I have a whole new respect for women and our bodies. Childbirth is nothing short of a miracle. I feel so blessed to have had this experience.”
Morton shared photos of her growing baby bump on Instagram. In the adorable post, with her husband Gerald Mwangi, the former Atlanta Hawks and Falcons cheerleader showed off a big smile as her husband caressed her belly.
