Former Kakamega Governor Wyclif Ambetsa Oparanya has responded to the viral photos making rounds on social media featuring him alongside a woman named Mary Biketi.

In a Facebook video, Oparanya acknowledged the authenticity of the photos but expressed puzzlement over their circulation.

“These are indeed genuine photos. I fail to comprehend why someone would invest effort in spreading them. It’s regrettable that these private moments were leaked to the public,” he remarked.

Oparanya also questioned the public interest surrounding the photos, asserting their decency. Furthermore, he dismissed rumors suggesting he had been hospitalized.

Asserting his responsibility to protect his family, Oparanya urged the cessation of spreading false information.

“I have a large family to safeguard, so those propagating false news need to cease. Here I am, perfectly capable of speaking; there’s no issue. I’ve been in Mombasa for a few days engaging with my community,” he emphasized.

The images in question depict Oparanya alongside Mary Biketi.
