President William Ruto declined to answer a TV reporter who wanted to know about the anticipated talks between Kenya Kwanza and Azimio team led by Raila Odinga.
In a video shared by Grace Kuria Kanja, a senior reporter with TV47, she was mid sentence asking the question when the President stopped her on her tracks with .. “let’s not go there…”
She said: “My second question is, ahead of the anticipated talks, between Kenya Kwanza and Azimio… ” to which the President interjected with “.. please let’s not go there.. let’s not go there, let’s stick with the first question.”

Her first question was on the plans the government has to harvest water now that there is an early warning from the weather man.
The President had called a press briefing to update the country on the interventions the Kenya Kwanza government has taken in Agriculture.
New negotiations between the government and the opposition are planned to address concerns brought up by Raila Odinga’s Azimio coalition.
At the height of the resurgent weekly protests, which saw disorderly and violent rallies from July 19 to 21, the President was the first to reach out to the opposition in an effort to start a discussion.
In a tweet, Ruto informed Raila that, at the request of the leader of the opposition, he was prepared to hold negotiations.
