Why Anerlisa Muigai’s mom has changed her name

Keroche Breweries heiress Anerlisa Muigai’s mother has changed her name as she aspires to become Nakuru County Senator.

According to her lawyers, she’ll now be identified by her firm Keroche. A gazette notice says she’ll be called Tabitha Karanja Keroche.

Her name hitherto was Tabitha Mukami Mungai.

Mrs Keroche won’t be the first or last politician to change their name closer to an election as part of the strategy.

Most personalities/celebrities change names because it lacks the pizzazz that comes with superstardom or brand recognition, or they just don’t like how their original name sounds.

One of whom is award-winning rapper Nyashinki, he dropped the use of his first name, Inyatta.

Adding,

“Formerly known as Inyatta Nyamari Ongegu formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the use of his former name Inyatta Nyamari Ongegu, and in lieu thereof assumed and adopted the name Nyamari Ongegu, for all purposes and authorizes and requests all persons at all times to designate, describe and address him by his assumed name Nyamari Ongegu only.”
