Police in Kiambu opened a death investigatiion following the discovery of a woman dead inside a residence.
The 23-year-old woman’s body was discovered inside a hotel in Githunguri, Kiambu County.
According to the police, Elizabeth Wangui Mbugua was discovered on March 3, 2023, at the Mwangaza hotel in the Githunguri township, hours after another male had made the reservation.
The manElizabeth Wangui Mbugua who had reserved the room has since been detained and is assisting law enforcement with their inquiries.
She was located dead on the bed covered in bedding, according to hotel staff, who then called the police, who arrived on the scene and discovered her there.
The deceased, according to the authorities, had blood dripping from his mouth.
Pillowcases, linens, and undergarments that were blood-stained were also found by police at the scene.
What led to her demise is unknown. In anticipation of the autopsy, which will decide how to proceed with the investigation, the corpse was moved to the mortuary.
Police in Nairobi have also opened a new investigation after discovering a man’s corpse in a kneeling position in Woodley Estate.
According to the police, John Edgar Obok’s, 58-year-old, corpse was discovered inside his home next to a stool.
According to the police, they discovered some medication records showing that he was receiving therapy for high blood pressure and a stomach ailment.
Prior to an autopsy, the corpse was taken to the mortuary.
Police are looking into the death of a three-month-old baby in their home in Nairobi’s Lunga Lunga slums in a separate occurrence.
The parents of the child said they discovered his lifeless body on his bed when they went to check on him on Sunday, March 5.
The child was sleeping when he was found dead on March 5, police said, adding an investigation had been launched.
