An investigation is being conducted by Kitengela police into the deaths of a 24-year-old man and his 23-year-old girlfriend.
The young couple’s remains were discovered in their residence in the Kyang’ombe estate on Wednesday night. The caretaker alerted the police after hearing an odd ruckus and a loud scream the day before.
“On Wednesday, no one came out of that apartment and I got curious. I checked the door but it was locked from inside that’s when I alerted the police,” Paul Kanaika, the caretaker, said.
The woman’s body was discovered lying in a pool of blood on the restroom floor. She had many stab wounds.
She may have been attacked while taking a bath, according to police detectives.
The body of the man was discovered in the living room. He had been stabbed in the chest.
Near his body, a knife was discovered.
Although the man and the woman were not living together, neighbors said he was a frequent visitor at the flat.
Ancent Kaloki, the head of the Isinya police, said that an inquiry to determine the reason behind the deaths is ongoing.
